Position summary…

  • The Human Resources Manager will be a key member of our team, building strong relationships with all team members and senior leadership. The HR Manager will manage a broad spectrum of HR disciplines including talent acquisition, team member relations, total rewards programs, talent development, talent engagement and compliance, while partnering with senior leadership to build and maintain company culture for our corporate office and production facility

Your days will consist of…

  • Supporting hiring managers by leading the full-cycle recruitment process for open positions; including partnering with hiring managers to create job descriptions, posting open positions internally and externally, screening applications, coordinating interviews, collecting interviewer feedback and assisting in conducting reference checks
  • Managing administration and communication of total rewards programs, benefit plans and annual open enrollment process
  • Partnering with Finance department to execute bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Working with management to retain outside recruiters to assist in candidate identification and screening, when appropriate
  • Continuously enhancing the company’s existing new employee onboarding programs, including all required documentation
  • Overseeing and leading employee safety, welfare, wellness and health programs
  • Ensuring full compliance with all applicable labor regulations
  • Providing coaching and guidance on employee relations matters, offering feedback on communication styles and behaviors to improve employee engagement and productivity
  • Keeping a pulse on team member engagement and needs, gain insights from off-boarding and exit interviews
  • Maintaining an “open door” policy for all team members
  • Assisting in building and maintaining the Nurture Life culture – open and collaborative, team-oriented, emphasizing quality, teamwork, continuous improvement, high engagement and fun
  • Managing the team member engagement calendar and coordinating events, lunches, birthday celebrations, etc.
  • Driving and continuously improving a consistent performance management process and supporting the development of manager credibility to set clear performance goals, assess performance and effectively give feedback to motivate high performance
  • Partnering with leadership team to optimize organizational structure, performance management, talent retention and succession planning
  • Staying current with leading human resources solutions, programs, compensation, etc. to stay competitive while attracting and retaining top quality talent
  • Partnering with senior leadership to develop professional communications and team member engagement initiatives that drive the strategic, operational and cultural goals of Nurture Life
  • Completing additional tasks as needed by the leadership team

We’d love for you to have…

  • Be a proven team player with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
  • Have at least 5-7+ years in a professional HR role – food manufacturing / warehouse / hospitality / technology experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or related field required
  • HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP)strongly preferred
  • Proven knowledge of workplace labor laws and best practices
  • HRIS and / or PEO management experience preferred
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, start-up experience a plus
  • Experience managing multiple work streams
  • Must possess clear business writing skills and ability to convey ideas in a concise and clear way across all levels of the organization
  • A highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to partner with and influence key business leaders
