The Taste of Summer: Introducing Our New Seasonal Menus

Sun’s up, skies are blue, school’s out…it must be summer! And that means the release of Nurture Life’s new summer menu: a selection of delightfully wholesome meals that we’ve been developing and perfecting all spring.

This summer, we’re dishing out ready-to-eat kids meals along with family-sized mains and sides to nourish everyone at the table. Ready in 3 minutes or less, our meals let you spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying all that summer has to offer.

Come along on a quick tour of our summer menu below!

Summer Highlights: Toddler and Kids Meal Delivery

Our toddler and kids menus have everything under the sun, from picky eater favorites to exciting global cuisine. Below are just a few of the many dishes we’re excited to have on our summer line-up of meal delivery for kids.

Pesto & Cheese Ravioli

pesto ravioli

Perfectly pesto-ey and crowdpleasingly cheesy, this dish is sure to be a summer winner. By blending white beans with basil, kale, parmesan and pecorino, we’ve kept this pasta delight nut-free without missing out on that unmistakable pesto taste.

What makes it extra nutritious?

By blending fiber-filled kale right into the pesto, you can introduce your child to kale without the suspicion that often comes with leafy green veggies!

Chicken Biryani

Chicken Biryani

No summer day is too hot to enjoy our warmly spiced biryani, a powerhouse of flavors, aromas and nutrients. With brown jasmine rice, sauteed veggies and succulent roasted chicken, this curry-based meal has just what your kids need to stay active and full.

What makes it extra nutritious?

Speaking of full—our Chicken Biryani is rich in protein, containing over half of your child’s recommended protein requirements for the day!

Barramundi with Roasted Broccoli & Potatoes

Barramundi with Roasted Broccoli & Potatoes

To make seafood approachable even for little ones who don’t like fish, we pair lightly flavored Barramundi with a delectable brown butter lemon sauce. We make it colorful with two different sides—zesty roasted broccoli and rosemary roasted Yukon gold and sweet potatoes!

What makes it extra nutritious?

Barramundi, known as “sustainable sea bass,” packs in protein and heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids!

Broccoli Quiche with Sausage & Sweet Potatoes

broccoli quiche

We love a balanced breakfast—and it doesn’t get more balanced than this! With a mini broccoli-cheddar quiche, apple chicken sausage patty and maple-roasted sweet potatoes, this savory and sweet combo will delight and satisfy your child (even for a fun-filled breakfast for dinner!).

What makes it extra nutritious?

You could give your child a glass of milk…or you could just serve them up this meal! Between the sweet potatoes, broccoli and low-fat cheese in the quiche, this dish serves as a great source of calcium.

Chicken Ravioli with Cauliflower Cream Sauce

chicken ravioli

Primavera may mean “spring,” but our version of pasta primavera is all summer! We’ve taken chicken ravioli  and tossed it with carrots, zucchini, peas, red onions and a roasted garlic cream sauce with a nutritious secret—cauliflower blended in!

What makes it extra nutritious?

Most cream sauces are associated with high fat and sodium, but by blending ours with steamed cauliflower and enhancing the flavor with roasted garlic, we keep saturated fat and salt in check!

Beef Chili Verde with Roasted Street Corn

Beef Chili Verde

You don’t have to pack bags to go on a summer adventure! Savor classic Mexican flavors with this housemade take on chili verde. Our mild sauce blends tomatillos, poblanos and other traditional ingredients to give our tenderly braised beef a tangy finish. We pair it with our healthier take on street corn, mixing roasted corn, red onion, zucchini, a sprinkle of feta and a squeeze of lime.

What makes it extra nutritious?

Traditional street corn, or elotes, uses mayonnaise, cheese and butter for much of its flavor—we swapped this for colorful red onion and zucchini with a hint of feta and lime to keep that bright summery vibe.

Introducing Breakfast Every Week!

Starting this summer, breakfast will always be on the menu! We’re adding our Frittata with Cinnamon French Toast to our selection of favorites so it’ll be available to order every week.

Serving up a mini veggie-cheese frittata and a whole wheat French toast bread pudding, this quick breakfast is a nutrient-rich start to any summer day.

Summer Highlights: Family Meal Mains and Sides

Along with our kids and toddler meal delivery, Nurture Life’s summer menu has family-sized mains and sides to make mealtime easier for everyone. These family-style dishes can be mixed and matched to create a complete meal, or they can be served as a quick, low-prep complement to your favorite homemade dishes.

Note that family meal components can be added to any meal plan but can’t be purchased on their own. Here are just a few highlights of our tasty mains and sides to share:

Lentil Meatballs

Lentil Meatballs

Who says meatballs have to have meat? Made from a spiced blend of lentils, brown rice and veggies, these “meatballs” serve up plenty of protein in one tasty, plant-based bite. Try skewering them with fresh veggies for fun kebabs!

What makes it extra nutritious?

Even if you aren’t a vegetarian, we love these meatball alternatives for their fiber—another important element in keeping you satisfied and full.

Salmon Teriyaki

salmon teriyaki

Covered with a housemade teriyaki sauce, our salmon fillets are moist, tender and flaky. Serve them with brown rice and seasonal veggies for a Japanese-inspired bento bowl that’s sure to become the “it” dish of the summer.

What makes it extra nutritious?

Our teriyaki sauce keeps it lighter by cutting on sugar and using pineapple puree to brighten and sweeten it up!

Beef Chili Verde

Beef Chili Verde

Our Beef Chili Verde was such a hit during meal development that we decided to make it a dish for the whole family! With hearty flavors of roasted garlic and poblano peppers, this tender beef tastes fantastic on its own or in taco salads, burrito bowls or quesadillas.

What makes it extra nutritious?

Our sauce packs in plenty of nutrients like potassium and vitamin A due to the nutritious mix of tomatillos and poblano peppers.

Moroccan-Spiced Veggies

moroccan spiced veggies

We roast a colorful medley of asparagus, zucchini and carrots and mix it with our housemade mild harissa sauce—smoothly blended bell peppers, onion, garlic, lemon, olive oil and spices. Pair with any protein or whole grain for a flavorful escape from the summer heat.

What makes it extra nutritious?

With three veggies in the base and peppers in the sauce, this dish gives a hearty serving of fiber!

Ginger Lime Quinoa

If you’re feeling a little tropical, this side is sure to satisfy. We mix quinoa, yellow squash and red bell peppers together with a zesty and bright coconut-ginger-lime sauce for a refreshing finish.

What makes it extra nutritious?

We love using quinoa as our star grain—packed with fiber, iron, folate and B-vitamins, you can’t go wrong with its impressive nutrient profile.

Ratatouille with Barley

ratatouille with barley

The classic French casserole gets a hearty, nutritious twist with the addition of whole grain barley. You’ll enjoy that traditional ratatouille taste in every bite—only in a spoon-friendly medley of barley and diced veggies.

What makes it extra nutritious?

The diced eggplant, zucchini and tomatoes already offered a good amount of fiber—but by adding barley, we kicked it up a notch!

Now Serving School-Safe Snacks!

School may be out for summer, but that doesn’t mean your kids won’t need allergy-friendly snacks! We’ve partnered with perfectlyfree to offer nutritious Fruit Bites as an add-on to any baby, toddler or kids meal delivery plan.
